for scraping ...
i would say yes if they are near complete or complete sytems .however i would not go much higher due to my shipping situtation.

for resale
the specs and age of sytem would be the factor for me ,knowing that some of those small form factor dells are good littel machines with hardware that will run modern os still .

I’m with evil here. 13 various servers could make or break it. And of the listings those are where the real potential is.

Given my past experiences with online auctions, lots like that will more than likely fetch upwards of $1000 or more.
In fact I have bid on two lots one is listed as 13 CPU's the other is 3 pallets of computers, printers, monitors and various electronic equipment.
I had a high bid in at a whopping $1 for a week and a half, the auction ends on the 23rd now the are up to $150 and $120. I expect both lots to go $400 to $500. The one lot I may pick up is listed as 13 video lock boxes, which appears to be video equipment out of police cars.

Assuming it’s working equipment the various dell desktops tend to be in the $20-$40 range each. To figure where your resale is. At least online.
You could get more, or less, in a store.

Again the big ? Here are the servers. Working you can be in the $10 range, or hundreds, or thousands. Blade units are excessively expensive! But a drive farm is nothing more than a bunch of drives and a backplane. Unless you want extra drives yourself it’s a risky thought selling hard drives and shipping them.

Many people, including computer pros, have a tendency to call anything that’s rack mount a server regardless of what it actually is. You could be buying 17 power distribution modules which used are worth about $10 each and can easily weigh 50 lbs. or more.

Where dell and HP blades run sub $100 in used sales a UCS unit could be $10k, 20k; some pass 6 digits. The screen shot below sums up the actual server (computer) range quite well.

This is what they have listed as cpu's in the auction I am watching. These appear to be rack mount.... so I assuming servers.

There’s two ups systems there. With distribution nodes. If they work (you’ll need to plug them in and power them up, they’re gonna run around $50 for Pb and a few hundred for LiOn doa you’ll get around $10-15 for a lead battery system, and around $50 or so for lithium depending on the battery makeup.

The computers look to be early pentium era. So probably PII or Xeon. If you’re lucky you can get PIII or Pentium Pro from them.

The drive racks look empty. So generally you’ve got rack shells that run $5-$10 on the used market. The case is worthless as scrap. If you’re luck you’ll get a SCSI backplane with a controller. Easy to plug in and power test, they’ll have on board lights. If it takes the charge and powers up you can flip them as untested for $75-$100.

Nothing really special in the lot.
Personally I’d be between $75-$150 based on those two pictures alone. If I had a bit more info or trusted the seller or source as having working units I’d quickly jump to 2 or 3 but even then I’d stay well south of $500
Purely as scrap you’re in the $50-$150 range. Again depending on the UPS sYstem batteries.

If there’s software, and not just manuals, you’ll get a bit out of that resale too.

Hey I’m back on a triple post here.
I’m doing the math here.
MY SUGGESTION IS PASS

The best I can match the rear i/o layout I’m thinking pIII.
So 100% working we’re going to part this out.
2 PIII X slot processors $20 each
2 pIII sxt motherboards $15 each
2 512mB ram sets $20 each
2 dell memory controllers $5 each
2 dell rack cases w 450w power $10 each
4 empty drive racks w/o backplane $5 each
2 pb ups units with node $20 each
2 control I/o rack units $20 each

Someone pulled the memory cards from the actual cpu units. So the expansion is all missing.
From my perspective there’s too much risk here. I’m looking at a sole $75 bid and not a penny more myself. These have been thoroughly picked over. I doubt anything besides motherboards are still in them. And probably batteries. You may get lucky and find lithium gel cubes in the ups units. But that’s a big risk for boosting price on.
