Have a question on no pin and pinned processors with metal. If I remove the metal does it down grade them or up grade them?

Upgrade probably to green fiber with metal rate but exceptional ones (original sparc nxt2 etc) may go better.
It's tough as hell though to remove just the spreader without breaking and/or down grading the cpu.
That said the spreaders are sometimes copper manganese or terellium. So... (last one Better rate on it's own locally.
I've found pure nickel and silver plate as well.

Ok so if it breaks the cpu, the part under the spreader what does it grade at? I'm just trying to ship lesss weight and sell what I can here local....i figured most of the tops were copper.

Depends on the chip and how it broke and if anything is missing (still attached to the spreader )

You're on the right track. The difference in shipping fees is worth the trouble for the loss in weight for the sale.

Just sort out broken ones from full ones and do your best not to break them.
