I feel a roadtrip coming on real soon. Now that I can sell a lot of the complete units and make better than scrapyard prices, I can justify bringing them to Boardsort, even if it is a 10 hour trip, as otherwise I would be spending a week or two scrapping out the items.
Immediately noticed one item Lost may want to verify. Pin Connectors have lost the word gold. Does that mean the silver colored now can sell as connector ends? Or was it just an oversight?
Another anomaly: on the new listed category, wire wrapped gold pin board, the price is double the rate shown for the clean pin board. Now on my hundred or so pounds of wire-wrapped boards, I always thought the wire was either silver or silver coated, Seems like, if it is not high precious metal content wire, the prices are reversed? Clarification please.
Also good to see lowgrade boards up a bit. And, a shoutout to BR5409: I think they are buying the whole cable box now?

Wow. Nice new list. Been a while since I looked at the payout page. ;)
Yep. Looks like I’m making a phone call tomorrow and will follow up here after. Some stuff doesn’t look right.

Ohkay spoke with Chris.
The pin boards are what I’ve been pointing out as pin boards for quite some time. Basically like a backplane with no plastic. Port expansions backplanes and socket base boards. Pins, sometimes ICs, no plastic.
Wire wrap boards are specifically very thick pin boards. Generally early 80s and older. What I’ve often termed peg board. Pins/pegs are greater than 1/16 in thickness with heavy gold plating. Boards intended to be wired by hand.

For the likely suspects, for people who would be sending this stuff in,
Pin boards are like junction box boards.
Wire wrap boards are like the network planes for mini computers.

I didn’t think to ask about connectors but for now assume it gold pin only. I’ve emailed a follow up to him for clarification.

Hello; still a little confused. Male / female file pin connectors ONLY? Gold only?

I will post a pic of what I got before delivering first connector end bag.

**EDIT**
I found my answer here http://boardsort.com/escrapforum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=18039&p=30910&hilit=connector+ends#p30909

Looks like I'm going to need advice on sorting low vs high grade telecom.

I can tell the low end and the high end. I’m working on finding the cutoff point myself. A minor bump in a few years of grading. Once I figure out the exact cutoff I’ll update my classing guide in the help category.
