question: When sending your boards to boardsort, say I have a large socket green motherboard. Pretend I take out the CPU, take off the IC chips and/or flatbacks, take off the gold pin connectors, and maybe a few other items. Am I getting the same rate populated vs 'semi-depopulated' (what I described above) vs depopulated? Thank you for your time.

second: What types of businesses use/dispose of the higher end boards?

thank you for the quick response. I wasn't referring to anything in particular that's already been done, but was just running some numbers.

Once you have removed all that, I don't think it is a motherboard anymore.

It won’t be a motherboard. It may still clear as peripheral but more than likely it will be midgrade.
Boardsort can’t just toss a downgraded motherboard into the midgrade bins. Because it’s a mother. Much like there are classes for trimmed ram and trimmed finger cards. Motherboards are too wide a class for a specific damaged class but they do require individual review to get a payout rate.
