It’s actually brass in most cases. But yes, CBM or #2 dirty brass.
If you have sharp thin sheers you can snip the uncovered parts for plated brass, the remaining plastic pieces being CBM.
It’s often a nickel or tin plating on on rare occasions even a chrome alloy if it’s meant to be seen like gaming boards.
If you snip just quote the cutoffs as silver plated brass.

I've noticed some of these things and look-a-likes are actually IC's. Do they class them as the IC and EPROMS as well?

No. These are definitely not ICs. Resistors, capacitors, sometimes micro transformers, rectifiers, ....
Even a vSIP IC will have 8 pins. Anything under 6 pins won’t be classed as an IC.

I'll have to post a picture, I'm most certain they're IC's and they look similar to these. They're labeling is printed as IC or U on the board as well, next to the unit.

That’s a good idea. There are small ICs called mVSIP which are comparatively rare in the marketplace. Often from 70s mil-ast. Those are classed one by one by photo or in person.
The other side is IC in technology is integrated circuit, and includes some items of low value that are both integrated and circuits but have none of the memory (binary storage) aspect that constitutes an IC in the more general use.

Absolutely, if you have a SIP, single online pin, or zip, zig-zag inline pins, IC that you think constitutes an IC post a photo! They do exist.
As both and Chris have pointed out every class has items that breaks the rules.
That’s ultimately the most important aspect of this forum and the what is it threads.
