Q: on the Lithium batts. I know cell and laptop Lbatts are good to sell at Boardsort, but what about the Lithium watch size batteries or the ones that come out of Dallas switches? Does Boardsort buy those as well?
If any, are there other types of lithium batts that are approved for that class?

Much love

Boardsort doesn’t purchase any dry cell batteries. That includes button batteries and most canister/cylinder batteries.

Unless: you happen to find dry cells that are gold plated. Where emailing photos to Chris directly is the correct course of action as it is entirely on single case basis for such situations.

I've obtained a bunch of gold plated button battery housings but I'm not sure what the battery canisters look like? Unless that is what I'm misunderstanding for them.

Looks like I'll keep collecting them anyways just to recycle them properly instead of tossing in the garbage bin.

Update: I did some research and I didn't know they made gold plated button batteries, keeping my eyes peeled for those now.

Boardsort does have interest in gold plated batteries. You’ll need to email Chris to find out more and if they can buy them at this time

Canister batteries; eg AA, AAA, 4A, N, C, D....
Sometimes you’ll find pointless gold plated contacts.

And thank you for not tossing them. Despite what state governments say it’s not a good idea to toss batteries in the trash. Lithium, as I always point to as a fear of mine, even dry cells can ignite when cracked open. In a landfill that could cause a methane explosion and make for a nasty fire.
And I don’t know about you but I do don’t want anything from any batteries in the water where it winds up in fish I want to eat later. :(

Sweet, thank you lost

Fooor sureee. I'm huge into recycling itself. One reason e-waste interested me so much.
I turn in your regular Ni-Cad, Ni-Mh, Alu ion, Lithium ion, even your house hold alkaline batts. Any batt has it's spot to go. Paper, plastic, light bulbs , you name it; I recycle it properly.

Much love
