Does the AMD 486 cpu fall in the same payout category as the Intel 486. Does the Intel SX or DX make any difference?

As long as it has the gold cap (actual AMD) then yes.
No. DX/DX2/DX4 are all 486.
Pentium overdrive withOUT the sink is also 486
