I'm still pretty new at knowing what has value when tearing apart old PCs. It's my understanding that CD and DVD boards that are home to the connectors have value. Is that also true for diskette drives? If they also have value should I separate them from the boards I remove from optical drives when selling them? Lastly, should I include the flat electrical cables in these units with mixed wire or just trash them. TIA for helping a newbie...

Floppy disk boards are mostly peripheral class
The CD/DVD boards have their own class (and most tape drive boards go there as well).
The wires are mixed wire.
