Agreed. Even if the yard typically doesn't deal with cars, they will still (in my experience) have a category each for starters, alternators (which are both electric motors) an all purpose electric motors category and a copper bearing category, priced in descending order. I've seen some yards throw alternators in with the electric motors, I've even seen them classed as dirty aluminum. For the latter, those are generally places that are looking to rip you off. Heck, I usually keep a couple on hand in case I need to return a core right there and then, when I need a new alternator (and it's usually just a matter of when).
