Read old post on backplane vs pin boards. I think this is just a large (11.5×34.5 inch) backplane. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Question 1. How close do the small wires need to be trimmed? Snip at each individual pin or pull up on wires and give a buzz cut at top of pins leaving short tags behind.
Question 2. The tan strip between the black connectors is multiple copper strips wrapped in paper. Should this be removed?
I only have 2 of thes boards but I have more the 50. With very similar configuration just smaller (approx. 12x18).
Thank you

Pins stick out of back far enough to wrap wire around, I think makes it a wire wrap pinboard. The increased value is because the pins for wire wrap are longer and have heavier gold plate than other pins. So if you clip the pin ends with the wire wrapped around it, you may be destroying the added value and downgrade it to backplane.
