I have a box of about 20 lbs of gold fingered cards (graphic cards, NIC cards, sound cards, etc.).

I am fairly new to electronic scrapping and I was just wondering if it were better to trim the gold fingers OFF the boards, sell the gold fingers separate, then sell the trimmed boards separate or would it be better to let them go together.

I also have another box of about 15 lbs of ram and the same question applies to that. I would like someone to weigh in that has done a comparison to see if its worth it or not.

Thanks,
joseph

Both the finger cards and the RAM pay much better with the gold contacts on them.

Also if any of the ram is RAMBUS or has aluminum heatsinks on them, remove hen to go with the regular gold finger RAM, pays better.

.

indeed....they are better complete then apart.you see 20 lbs of cards dont meant that much really if they have a bunch of junk on them like plastic housings of oversizes heat-sinks various other things.

and as scob89 says the same goes for the ram..
