I scrap out monitors and displays and almost all of them have one or two of those very thin finger strip boards in them. I don't know whether to cut the gold fingers off them and sell those as gold fingers or what. What is the best and most cost effective way to sell these types of boards?

if you are talking about the really thin boards that come out of flat-panels and the like, then they wont go as gold fingers. The gold in flat panels is a flash plating that is extremely thin.... like 1/10th the thickness of normal gold fingers. BS will usually take them as peripheral i believe... if you have a large amount of them though, it never hurts to shoot them an email and ask them.

They go as peripheral. There's really nothing to negotiate their either. There's very little gold in these and I've wondered for a while how long it would be before they dropped these boards out of this category.
Fully refined and not removing cost, they are worth about 90c-$1.20 per pound at the moment. So BS is loosing money on these for convenience.

The only oversized finger boards of this style design to go as such are the scan boards from high grade flatbed scanners and commercial (not office) all in one printers. They also have an large unsealed soldered DLP chip. Making them worth the upgrade
