I took apart 1 Nintendo Wii, and 2 PS 2. Would the big, main board be a motherboard?

I think all or most MotherBoards will need to have a socket for a CPU therefore they can be considered more Peripheral grade. I scraped a Nintendo and the board was pretty small for make that much money.

Unfortunately game console boards (controller boards and mainboards) are purchased as peripheral grade.

Old game cartridges however are usually graded as Gold Finger Card once you remove the board from the case.

I know that this post is very old at this point, but even non working games (clearly listed as such)- have a much higher sale point on eBay than tearing them apart and selling the board. As much as scrapping is a hobby to many here- video gaming is another hobby to another huge following. With a given finite amount of gaming cartridges, the more that break, get lost, or get kept in a collection the amount of selling copies lowers, thus increasing the price point.

Or you can always bundle up gaming items and sell as "for parts/not working" to avoid any duties of having to test the items.

With specific exceptions, non of them recent, all video game motherboards are classed peripheral.

Would be easier to take a photo and post this in the board identification section of the forums. Also why take it apart? Selling it even as broken would have netted minimal $20.00
