I am new to this. Getting some boards together to send in and I have some that I can't quite identify.

This is a from an IBM AS400 server. The system board has the CPU soldered in place and their appears to be quite a few tantalum capacitors on the board.

Any ideas on what this board would equate to?

It's definitely at least small socket. If you can gently knock that heatsink off the main cpu, depending on what's under it it /could/ get telco or metal re likely large socket; but totally dependant on the cpu under there.
It's a nice heavy copper board regardless.

I'll try to pry it off, the CPU looks similar to a large core green fiber CPU except it is white. There is one exposed white chip on the system board that looks similar except for the size.

appreciate the quick feedback. i'll post a pick of the cpu if I can get the heatsink off.

OK, easier than expected when twisting... anyway, a couple more shots with main dual core CPU and another of two large chips on the board.

Thanks for the responses. Once I had the heat spreader off... lesson learned.
