Hey folks,

How much would you take for whole stereo components, VCRs and DVD players?

last time I had some of that stuff, they were taking it as scrap shred material (shred steel) and it was $0.01/lb, but that was about 2-3 years ago.

It's still the same range. 0-10 cents.
VHS etc is a pain in the arse to scrap but for DVD and more modern equipment

If you take a few minute to pop them open any yank the boards out. Boards will usually get peripheral a nice (if working) display unit could be sold online and the remainder will still get steel shred at most large steel yards. A win win for a few minutes with a power driver.
