The mylars from keyboards are not being purchased by boardsort right now. I inquired about it last year and found that out. One thing I'm considering doing with mine is donating them to a high school that has a chemistry class and the teacher there can use them to recover the silver.

There are buyers out there but it takes a little searching. And when found, the payoff isn't that great, approx. 10 - 20 cents a piece. Usually two per keyboard with a clear sheet in between the two. As with anything, they do add up after a while. I believe I now have more than 300.

If you have the storage space, you can hold until silver goes back up in price, otherwise sell for the best offer you can get or refine them yourself if you have the skills and chemicals necessary to do so.

I dont think they do.

IF they do, they would probably treat it as shred material which they pay about a penny/lb. last I knew (about a year ago).

I would only take it if you can get it for free. there is almost no value in them.
