 Post subject: floppy drive boards

i have been taking the boards out of floppy drives. they dont look great but the have some ic population and gold pin connectors so what would these go under?

Floppy drive boards go with your peripherals, as long as they have the gold pin connectors. Doesn't matter that they are brown on one side.

Will the board still get peripheral price if the copper winding component is removed? I have been removing those to scrap at the local yard as copper. Good idea or not since it probably reduces the overall weight of the board.

You can pop those off and get Peripheral grade. I've been doing that since I started, thinking that Boardsort would not want them on there. I hadn't though about leaving them on for the extra weight.
