The things that go into a board's value include

* amount and quality of plating of precious metal
* number of IC chips on the board in relation to the size of the board (IC density)
* presence of exposed connector pins or fingers with gold plating.
* size of CPU sockets
* level of population of transformers, resistors, and capacitors on the board.

These things will determine if any additional work will need to be done by boardsort to prepare all the boards they purchase before they can be refined and all the precious metals recovered.
