Boardsorts price list says $.17/lb for CD/DVD/floppy drives, well I take all the boards out of those items. My question is wull they pay .17/lb for drives without the board? They would be worth bringing with me if so.

The boards from the CD ROM you get $3.50 per pound so it is worth scrapping. For the empty case you can sell it to your local scrap yard as scrap or breakage.

For the floppy drives if the board has gold plated connectors you get Peripheral grade at $1.35 per pound so it may be worth removing. If no gold platting is present then you get $0.16 per pound. The empty box you can sell it to you local scrap yard.

Something to think about is the distance you'll be driving and if it is worth taking things that are large in volume and low pay out vs the items that pay the best such as Peripheral and higher grades.
