I can't get the heat sink off this processor, I tried a flathead screwdriver, but that didn't work. Does anybody know another way?

You could try flipping it over and put the heat sink into a bench mounted vise (vice?), then try "gently" grabbing the CPU with a pair of channel lock pliers and slowly twist it back and forth. Be careful not to break up the ceramic housing. Though, even if you do break it into a couple of pieces Boardsort will likely accept it if you have all the pieces together in a little plastic bag.

I would try using a little heat before trying to pry anything (a lighter or heatgun, even a hair dryer would do). the heat makes the thermal paste underneath loosen and should pop right off.

I had one just like it. I placed the ceramic edge into a vice on my work bench and then heated up the aluminum heat sink with a cigarette lighter for about 30 seconds. That loosens the glue holding the metal to the ceramic.

Then I used a wood chisel and a hammer in the tiny gap between material.

I did this 2 or 3 times and the thing popped right off. There is a slight odor coming from the heat sink when it is exposed to the flame. If you have a sensitive nose, keep a fan nearby.
