The block heat sink won’t be silver plate. Tin is most likely. If the sink is plated copper or brass just toss the whole block in peripheral and call it a day; is my suggestion. Removing the sealer is best achieved with an extremely strong base, not an acid. Honestly, it’s not worth the trouble. Capsicum works best. But you’re sinuses will hate you. Caustic blustering, etc. Again, not really worth it. I see the board now looking again. It’s so thin I’d rule out any kind of heating, you’d remove the component value and loose the copper and be left with a weightless mid grade flashed board. Did I mention not worth it? Lol ;)
