I think someone mentioned these a few months ago. Sneaky me threw several in the aluminum recycling barrel back in the mid aughts when the local junkyard gave me three tractor trailer storage trailers to clean out, where the school systems obsolete computer equipment was stored, mostly CRT moniters. This particular set is over aluminum which is beginning to canker, and lifting the plating off in spots.
Any value other than the standard 25 cents per pound? If not, might be a good candidate for home precious metal recovery project. Haven't checked to see if Moose has a video.

That looks like the 5.25 full height stack I was talking about before. That very well may have a fair bit of gold to it (relatively speaking).
You may want to email chris directly and see if he wants it for anything extra. If not; have at it with refining if you want. removing the gold would still leave the aluminium you could reforge to ingots; so you're definitely not loosing anything.
