For all purposes, this is a motherboard, but it has gold fingers where it plugs into what i think is a backplane board (second & third pic). But what type does it qualify as? Am I correct that the other board is backplane?
Thanks for all great help this forum provides!
Edit... I may have figured this out from another post. Its a large socket mobo and you could leave the backplane on or sell separatly. Based on that, I am now wondering to do that or trim off the gold fingers and sell all separatly. The mainboard is 1 lb, backplane 7oz. Gold fingers maybe an oz?

According another post I've read it will still considered LSMB even with the fingers on. Removing the fingers will not downgrade the board at all because all the components of a motherboard will still be there. The other board is a back plane as long you can see the connectors are gold plated. Now, there are some back planes with gold finger and they will go for gold finger cards. You would mainly find this back plane with gold finger in servers.

Thanks for the advice. I have never tried cutting the gold fingers off; at current price of $45/lb it seems that it may be worth it even if i dont get lb off all these boards.
