I need some understanding with console game boards or plain peripheral boards that have gotten the grade of a small socket motherboard in the forum before.

In those intances I noticed all of the boards have either green/brown fiber with metal or without metal on the boards.

I attached some pictures as a reference.

Thanks

It all varies based on what's actually present on the board. If you have a fairly good mix of power components such as transistors, resistors, capacitors, and transformers, along with the IC chips, it will go as peripheral. If you have several flatpack or soldered CPU chips along with something on the board indicating that a heatsink was used to cool the chip, that will get you the upgrade to small socket motherboard. The printer boards listed here also contain RAM slots, so that will also factor into grading.

So based on what you are saying the two printer boards could go for small socket motherboard?

By process of elimination the xbox board is for sure peripheral.

From what I'm seeing in those two printer boards, small socket motherboard appears to be an appropriate grade for those.
