is this a slot processor or a big gold finger card.?..it has a cpu

The reason slot processors are as high as they are is because they contain more of the chipset that is normally on the board. They have a heavy gold contact layer under the masking on the front and back (like mini/mainframe computer controllers) and the finger connection is almost 4x thicker and Has a better coverage by area.

do all slot processors look the same?..i have a few from different brand computers and they are all identical...and yes the gold fingers on bottom are thicker...you are right about thatlow dos

Like everything in computers there are exceptions-especially because "slot proceasors " are not industrially standardised but yes most are identical in appearance.
Most are long rectangles
See 1
Xeon and opteron are almost squared in shape.
See 2
Via had one that was a v shape like to short rectangles at a 75° angle (never made sense to me beyond v for via).
Some early acorn units in box form had a riser cpu that is technically a slot processor though it predates the term and Boardsort took it from me as telco. Probably to much surface area but i digress...!

So yes MOST slot proceasors look similar. And the ones that don't probably Go in another category.

heres another gold finger card..the gold is really thick...had a heatsink glued to it...is that silver too?

it had an aluminum heatsink glued to the back where the silver is
