Im not sure which because it held the processor and heatsink, and has slots for expansion cards, but also has gold fingers and went into a larger board. (Came from an early 90s build)

Or should I trim the fingers and sell it as a motherboard? Its a very strange piece.

the piece appears to be heavily populated with IC chips, so it may go as a telecom board. The fingers I think would be an added bonus and you may be able to remove them without hurting the value of the card too much. Since this was early '90s, it may have been a 386/486 in the cpu socket, so it may go as large socket motherboard if it is not considered as telecom or downgraded from telecom if the fingers are removed.

Yes it had a 486 in the processor slot. Really strange piece that can go so many ways ha

I agree, that looks like a good candidate for Telecom with all of those IC's and card slots.
