So with pic #4 from top, that big Intel processor doesn't bump it to small socket?

Two answers. First that's a modern i960 it's no different than a normal ic.
Second... boardsort has been tightening the belt on telco class. I don't believe there's enough in the cpu/ic volume (weight not quantity ) to pass that threshold.
