 Post subject: Motherboard/CPUs help

I'm sure the answer is already out there 100x over, but what do motherboards with fixed CPUs class as?

It depends on the size of the CPU, the class of motherboard, I/o etc.
This one will probably fall into large socket along with most laptop motherboards.

Looks like an All-in-one which split the large/small socket category almost 50/50.

So pretty much a gamble; place on "red or black" and let it ride? would I lose or gain anything if I fired up the workstation and melted that puppy off?

I'm quite sure this one is going to fall into the large socket category since it's a condensed (eg laptop) board with full options and a soldered Xeon CPU. Where I'd put it myself.

Removing the cpu would give you a peripheral board (at best) and a pinless CPU.

I’m sorry if I confused you. I try to put both a specific quote and a general notation in posts where a board (type) may get different scrap classes on different boards.
All-in-one boards are such a class where most will be either small or large socket depending on both the size of the board AND the included components and options.
