Hi Moderators.

Do I need to remove the aluminum frame around the cpu chip on the card?

Thanks

looks like the aluminum is riveted on. Would it be possible to post a macro of the GPU chip looking at it from one side? If there's a gap between the aluminum and the card itself, a small enough flat head screwdriver with gentle force should loosen the rivets to pop them off.

There are screws on the back. I rather not do the labor but I will remove the frame before sending.

Thanks for answering my question.

If screwed on, just remove the screws and it will simply fall off. Place the frame with your aluminum.
