Today I got my first ever slot processor. My question is about the gold colored fasteners. They are not magnetic.

They’re bronze. More specifically ‘intel bronze’!!!
Apx since from memory but 75% copper, 20% tin 5% nickel.
The larger yards in larger cities that break out specialist rates will buy them as “BW Shells” or GW. For Big/Great War shells.
Smaller systems than that it goes as brass cartridge shells and in most places simply brass rate.
