The first picture shows three boards from card readers. The two on the right are the same, but one has the metal shields removed. As a general rule, what do these go as? I am inclined to go with peripheral. Should the metal shields always be pried off?

The second and third photos show front and back of what I think is a telco board, but I am not sure high or low, on the left. On the right is an interesting board. This is some type of CD/DVD controller board. I guess I would call it a master controller for multiple CD drives that were all mounted in a single box. Each CD also had their own controller board. Does this still go as CD/DVD, or something else? I may not actually scrap this board as it is rather artistic looking.

The last pair of photos is a dual metal socket motherboard. It is my understanding that it is ok to leave the metal bracket on. But, this metal bracket also attaches with a metal plate on the backside. Can I leave it on, or must all of it come off because of the metal plate?

All peripheral and shields should be removed

Left high telco right cd/dvd board

Dual metal socket—The small back plates are not secondary supports, but part of the socket, so they can stay. Leave it to sell to make a poor design decision like that. Riveted backplates prohibit the use of secondary cooling units.
