Top midgrade
Bottom. One in the middle should just make peripheral. One on the right is midgrade so remove the socketed IC

Midgrade
You can safely trim the fingers here and still be midgrade, if the connector is indeed gold.
If you plan to ship midgrade leave the serial port on.
Assuming this falls with 99% of such controllers; with gold pins for the port: If you don’t plan to ship the board you can remove the serial port off for gold pin connector.
