if memory serves floppy drive boards were once considered peripheral grade

are the still?

My guess would be those floppy controllers go for mid-grade now. lostinlodos will find out for sure.

Haven’t talked to Chris yes, wasn’t going to call on Sunday. Lol

The rest are still firmly in peripheral. No question on it.

i emailed him ,asked him to make a new category break down sheet he said he will work on it .

With respect to the floppy controller boards.

They are one of the few boards that are exempt from the "curse of the brown board" as we call it at our yard.

Usually, when a board is brown on one side and green on the other, it would be considered a Mid-Grade board. That is the curse of the brown board. Especially when it is "crispy" like a floppy board (meaning easily broken when bent).

However, we will consider a floppy board, AS LONG AS IT STILL HAS THE GOLD PINNED CONNECTOR, as a Peripheral Grade board.

If the connector (the rectangular black socket with all the gold pins in it) is missing it will be Midgrade.

So, in short: Floppy board = Peripheral.
