Post subject: All IC chips?

So these are all IC chips correct? All have legs on both sides, or all 4. But I smash some, and see no gold. I'm confused why then they are still IC chips? Thanks

What are the two yellow “dont send”?
How can you tell flat pack no gold tab from the square socketed IC chips

Yellow packages are (almost) always reserved for electrical components.

Flat packs have a mark in the corner. A gold tab or a lighter circle. (And some amount of memory on non-marked ones)
