They do appear to be ceramic. So, pinless then?

Are most flat packs fiber?

Ceramic is pinless. Much like the standard pinless fibre chips have heavy heatsinks and thick covers under that. Ceramics loose their ratio to ceramic weight.
True flat packs are fibre, green, blue, black, and occasionally red. They have a gold tab on one corner.

This is a standard bga chip. Ceramic or otherwise.
Again though I’ve never come across a BGA cyclone that wasn’t ceramic.

There is a price category for flat pack with gold tab and flat pack without gold tab.

I see. That’s relatively new. And stems from terms not matching up in use vs technology.
What everyone here is calling flatpack a includes other types of chips as well. I apologise for missing the new class.

I correct my statement based on the new(er) classing.
Bga/flatpack ceramics still pinless.
Fibre Flat packs (which have a gold tab or tick) are flatpack with gold tab
Fibre BGAs without a tab/tick go as flatpack no gold tab.

Hope that helps.

More accurate outside of the recycling discussion:
A flatpack is a type of MCC (multi chip carrier).
It includes two or more integrated circuits (ICs) on a printed circuit board (PCB). The PCB is housed in a sturdy fibre or resin shell with Leeds extending out. The leads may be short. They may be long pins.

BGA, for ball grid array, is a type of mounting. Direct pin mounting, and land grid array are two more.
BGA uses solder balls set in place on the PCB. The ‘packaged’ component, what ever it is, is lined up over the balls. Then the package is then heated and the balls melt creating connectors between the two.
The confusion comes in LGA chips mounted directly to the board. Often called flatpacks.
Sometimes it’s easier to use the term most people use. Accurate or not. I’m a bit more technical in my terminology which occasionally causes confusion.

As a side note I don’t, and should, look at the price guide each week. Chris is constantly making minor adjustments. So if I’m missing something please feel free to call me on it.
Like this.
I have no idea when that class got added. It’s there now though. ;)
