DO NOT MESS WITH BOARD G!!! Bring it to your local hazmat center.

It appears to have wetted mercury relays on it on the left side, when the board is in non expanded view. They look similar to a loaf of bread. Also has lead solder on it too.

I have attached a link to a very similar board to the one that is in question.

Note: ate the moment I say don’t send. I need a much cleaner image of the components on this board (clear model/I’d numbers) to verify there’s no mercury

Still searching
I’ll let it run in text mode for now too just in case... but I forwarded it to Chris as well.

Unfortunately we would not buy that board, in fact there could be a disposal fee for it if there were enough of them.

The reason is that there are Mercury Relays on that board which are not to be removed as they are a hazardous material.

You can easily identify them by the label on the little rectangular box that says "Do Not Open". They often say MWR, MW, WE or Wet Relay but most of the time they will at least carry the warning but not always.

They are not something that you will see very often and are typically associated with telephone switching equipment.

Even still, that board would probably be a midgrade board only due to the amount of junk versus quality. This is a good candidate for removing the IC's and junking the remains, which would be low grade at that point, had there not been those merc switches on them which has rendered the board value-less.

Yep. Chris got here before I did. Got them as an alternate part number. Definitely a no go on this board.

Not quite. This is one of those middle finger salute boards. That’s leaded silver!
