To boardsort? Midgrade
To an interested party... more.
Read the warning at the end!

These are problematic because they’re vacuum sealed.
The actual metal mesh varies by age, use, and manufacturer.
9:10 the mesh is nickel regardless of anything more.
On occasion you can find silver. And on some really old 70s era stuff you can sometimes find (and easily tell) gold mesh.
From that era gold is worth breaking. It weighs nothing but It’s nearly pure.
Modern “gold” displays like Onkyo are pure bling and are a high nickel brass.

Warning: the glass tends to be VERY thick. Resilient. Won’t shatter, and refuses to easily break. When you do break it you wind up with a false sense of security because it’s not sharp shards. It’s far easier to do major damage from the correct angle with those edges though.
You’re left with hazmat to dispose of properly and legally.

I’ve sliced deep on a few of these. Not fun.
There’s definitely more value than what the base rate grade suggests. Unfortunately recovery is so specialised most don’t bother. Or bother with them at all.
Rare earth minerals; heavy metals. But a bit of nasty toxic stuff too.

In tonnage they’re worth about 40č per pound for the standard nickel mesh ones.
