I think this board is borderline between midgrade and peripheral. The connector is gold plated. Should I keep it with my midgrade?

Normally on these I’d say knock the capacitor off for peripheral. 9:10 it will clear the class.
Unfortunately the IC is damaged.

While this is fairly sure to be peripheral, and I suggest you knock the cap off and quote out as such. I’m only 75% sure on this one due to the damage.
It’s not significant but if the person who takes it in only scans over as opposed to looking it ~could~ get downgraded. Just an FYI

Thanks Lost. The IC isn’t damaged. It’s the residue from the sticker that was on the chip so I’ll clean it up to make it easy to grade on Location.

Wow... totally didn’t guess that.
No need. Stickers are quite easy to see with the eyes even if not in photos.
;)

Just an FYI to those e-scrappers that refine or collect the small contents; that little black sensor marked , " U 2 " , has great stuff in it. It's considered an IC on board markings. I find these on multiple boards in scanners, printers n such. Some have amazed me what's in them

Feel free to knock that off too, if you so desire.

Since ‘15 I’ve sold boardsort many hundreds if not thousands of these parallel relay adaptor boards.

I can say with fair certainty that about 75% of the time these go peripheral.
It’s more the board than the components here.
Much like LED display matrix relay boards These use three very thick copper layers. Add an IC and keep the CMCs intact and peripheral is a likely ‘mistake’.
To the point I now call them as peripheral vs mid out of real experience.
