 Post subject: IC chips? Grading help.

Before I waste too much time collecting these I just want to make sure that I am doing this right. the connections on them don't have to be intact correct? I'm using pliers/chizzle to take them out whatever seems to be easiest. Just want to make sure that what I am removing is considered IC chip. Thank you

Looks correct so far.
I use a box cutter or heat gun. ;) depending on my intent.

Don’t cut anything off with 4 or fewer pins
or any SIP (single row single line pins) components no matter how many pins. They won’t get IC rate.
