so I got a bunch of these cell phone boards and some screens, do the cell phone boards need to have the screens removed? any value in the screens removed?

All cell phone boards
You need to remove:
Wires included flat laminated wire
Screens
Removable shields
Batteries (look for tiny button cell batteries).

Boardsort doesn’t buy the screens.
They do have decent value when you find a buyer but finding a buyer is difficult.

so I got all the shield out that I could, is this good the way they are?

Good to go. The people at boardsort have a lot of experience and know some of those soldered shields down want to come off.
(They also know the difference by sight).

Oops, forgot to mention removing vibratory motors.
They do buy them as motors though.
