My guesses: (nothing on backside)

A = Peripheral
B = Peripheral (with IC removed)
C = Peripheral (long connector pins are gold)

Maybe you'll have more time to do your own scrap.

But really, I can't thank you enough for your help. I've been doing scrap metal for 7 years since retirement but never really had enough e-scrap to worry about until a few weeks ago. I'm much better informed now and look forward to coming back to this forum soon. Thanks a bunch

Lol. It’s a quote from Man From A Rocket for the ultra-independent film fans who thought they may recognise it. I just swapped ‘stations’ with ‘posts’.

The quote being when he leaves his rocket and floats away. Powerful film if anyone can ever find it.

Speaking of movies what would the boards that Dave removed from HAL be worth?

HAL ranges from peripheral to high telco.

A small fortune in real life. Based on technical stuff from the book, a background in tech, and generally assumptions:
HAL is a multiphasic near-quantum processing array.
A quick look at the boards pulled out in the films and a general comprehension of /what/ quantum computing is without understanding the how and why aspects: we’re looking at roughly 32 compute units per cell. 2 cells per die. 80-ish dies per board...
you figure Apple looks at roughly $178 per neural due cluster... omg is that expensive.

HAL=
H-I
A-B
L-M
IBM lol.
