I have around fifteen identical boards from some security system’s remote controlled outlet modules. I would normally throw these in low grade but its to my understanding that the chips on these are some sort of 4 bit cpu. Anyone know if that could lift them into a higher grade than low?

I would think those would go as Midgrade.

Try removing one of those chips and weigh the difference between it being on and off the board.

Might do better selling boards as low and separating the IC, to sell as, IC class.

If the chips /are/ worth more alone those boards are easy to snap by hand.

Quick etch with a box cutter or knife on both sides of the chip pins they snap really nicely
