Scored this Atari Centipede mainboard (from 1981) today. Not a lot of visible gold, but lots of IC's...

Yes, that board would be considered telecom in spite of the lack of gold.

Vintage arcade ROM boards may have value to collectors of old arcade units. If you know someone trying to restore a Centipede cabinet, offer them the board for any working IC chips. You may get more than scrap value for the board.

I did look around on ebay, found a few "Buy it Now" offers from 40 to 100 dollars, but the only one people seem to be biting on is at about 4 dollars currently (it's worth more than that here). As you suggest (and I thank you for the advice), I will hold it for a while, along with a Big Event Golf (1986) board set, and see if I can find someone that may want them (though I can't be sure that they are working units)...But these things are big and heavy, and Z97 is coming and I'm getting itchy. If I want to buy - I gotta sell.

Don't know how the law applies, but wouldn't an owner of an arcade ROM board have the rights to play whatever game was programmed onto the ROM board on an emulator as opposed to having a license from the game developer to be able to play the game.
