what was 52?
you have Zilog interface controllers, Toshiba and Motorola host interfaces,
if i'm counting correctly theres over a megabyte of memory!
plus sockets for two more SIMMs?!?

my first thought was an audio relay board with serial control ... but?

#52 was in a box amongst some servers and parts in a semi trailer I bought from a guy who used to run a Paul Harris clothing chain and most of the contents were their offices after it closed. So sorry I cant answer your question I have no clue on its origin .

Lol: Thanks.
Maybe security. Well never know. Unless, of course, you want to know and opt to post the white label in the lower left and the white text, top right. ;)

Now that u mention security, there was a bunch of the security tag system components in that trailer as well. I think it was Checkpoint system mostly with the tags that are put on clothes.

Could be. There’s an rf module on the board.
Trigger alarm, start filming?

I’ve dealt with similar boards both in production A/V and in security. If you’ve ever been in a super boutique, like Fields or Macy’s or the like, even barns and noble or boarders, one of the entry ways has this big grate with blinking lights behind it. That’s the security relay server. It’s technically a client attached to the minicomputer or server for the store. Unless the store is really old and they still have a mainframe or mini.

My interest here is that’s nearly a complete computer. (Kit wise, older folk methodology). A little modification and that could be a working (super outdated) system capable of CPM or DOS loads.

Far more advanced than any client I’ve ever come across. Not sure if the idea is redundancy or fail fast with save: it’s overkill regardless.

Bingo!
Digital Link brand Multiplexer.
The DL3100
And now we know. :)

It’s definitely overkill! Like the store got the most expensive bells and whistles version they could.
