Does boardsort buy these ? Same as regular ones ? Any suggestions. Thanks

The boards yes. You may want to break down the drives a bit and sell them locally on those 5.25 drives. The shells are usually magnesium not aluminium and worth about 20c more a pound for mg.
Boardsort doesn't differentiate board ages.
