Post subject: Fell out of a cpu

I was cleaning up my work bench and found this piece stuck between some cracks. Looks like middle part of certain cpus? If that’s the case does he still buy these? It’s about the size of a quarter.

These can go as 8086 or Moto/ 386/486

It's a full processor chip, just goes into a little square slot.

386/486 class.

That is a design first used for 80286 and 80386 CPUs (and the n65, n81, n84, and n87 co-procs). Later used by Motorola and AMD as well as others. Design is fairly well documented and the actual layout can't be changed much. safe on class.
