on they board what can be remove without hurting value like metal , copper and transfomers

Copper transformers and resistors abe about it. Generally heatsniks, transforms and coppor (square/cube) resistors.
Leave everything else alone.

Here is some of the pic of the directv boards

They're all peripheral. You can pull the small transformers without hurting value, but not sure why'd want too as the trans is worth less than the peripheral rate.
