Here's the bottle. I keep it in a glass jar because I don't use it often and it WILL eventually eat through the bottle.

You mean a formula for the acid test? i have plenty of hcl and used cu2cl (acid peroxide). No nitric though. Would the 20% rh you described be enough to protect the metal or would it react with the high amount of ni in the alloy. I guess that's more of a question for grf haha. But if you know all the better. I don't wanna post on grf until i at least finish hokes book.

Ok. So I see the bottle says nitric and Muriatic acid. So it's some form of Aqua regia?

The blend I've been using seems to be week enough to have little to no reaction most of the time. With 20/80
Best choice for doing your own blend is the grf. They are Far more experienced than I in that regard.

But my local guy scans anything large enough to hold so I generally stopped acid testing as long as they're willing to scan my little things. We find all sorts of strange alloys and give us all a laugh.
