please help grade these boards and the gold plated chips. Also, how does one sell boards that do not have an item amount on the sell "invoice" tab?? ie air cards (I've seen previous posts of $6/lb) etc.

Hi there.

I am not expert and I am learning too. I have accumulating inventory to send to Boardsort.

this is my take on this:

first picture can be graded as gold fingered card
second picture can be graded as gold fingered card
third picture can be graded as ceramic chips
fourth picture can be graded as gold fingered card
fifth picture can be graded as CD/DVD drive boards

hope this helps...

602bridgeway has one of them correct, but here is what we would actually purchase them as:

003.jpg = Gold Finger Card
008.jpg & 009.jpg = Clean Laptop Air Card @ $6 per pound.
007.jpg = Telecom

001.jpg = Cyrix/IBM/Via Gold Cap @ $48 per pound as long as they have the gold caps.

We will be adding a few items to our price list today, including the Air Cards. You should be able to enter your weights into the invoice after the additions are made.

Can someone explain why those are graded as Air Cards..and what air cards are, exactly? This is the first time I am hearing the term.

I had always thought those would be gold finger, since they have a gold edge similar to memory cards.

Air Cards are a common name for cellular/WWAN cards. I would imagine that boardsort is paying more for these since there's a higher concentration of precious metal on these cards than your typical laptop peripheral card. Looks like with this information, I'll need to go dig through my bag of peripheral cards and sort these out and bag them separately.

Thanks for correcting me. I actually learned something new and I now realized I have some boards in those new categories.
