Hi guys! New here. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is already a thread for this but I couldn’t find it when I searched. I come across a lot of mixed wire but I was wondering what the do’s and don’t are of shipping mixed wire to you guys? If there is a thread for this, please just respond with a link and I will happily delete this post if I have the ability.

Seeing that you are in Texas you're probably better off taking your wire straight to a scrap yard. Pay rate is going to be similar plus you can cut out the overhead of paying for shipping. Looks like there are 4 or 5 scrap yards in Austin.

I agree, shipping will eat up any profit in selling mixed wire. Call around and see if they pay for different types of wire. One of my local yards only has one price for wire with insulation and they will only pay that for wire with no plugs attached. The other yard close by will buy all types of wire with plugs attached.
